You asked for our honest evaluation of the Algarid algae control system. We would like
to offer the following information.
We installed an Algarid system on one of our processors on June 30, 1986. After one week we
were so impressed with the results, we ordered a system for each one of our seven processors.
Installation was very simple was done by one of our maintenance people in forty five minutes
per processor.
Since Algarid systems have been installed on all of our processors, down time and labour times
have expended for routine wash tank cleaning have been reduced by more than 50%. This represents
savings for up to $25,000 to $30,000 per year.
We take pride in the cleanliness of our lab and we have noticed a visible improvement in the
appearance of the wash tanks of our processors after installing the Algarid system.
Needless to say, we are extremely pleased with the system since it has paid for itself over
in just seven months. We would certainly recommend the Algarid system based on our experience.
